I would like the Sun Shield Day Lotion better if it contained a self-tanner or a tint.
Overnight Acne Control Lotion
The final skin care product in the box is the Overnight Acne Control Lotion. What I like about this acne product is that is strong enough to work on preventing most break outs, but it does not make the skin red or irritated. It contains 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide.
It does have a certain scent to it, which comes from the Benzoyl Peroxide. It also takes about a minute to dry, and you can feel your facial skin tightening up slightly as it does.
Benefits
With a couple of days, skin takes on a different look. The skin becomes smoother and less irritable. This skin care product also works to minimize pores. I did not find the Neutrogena Advanced Solutions, Complete Acne-Therapy System to be too harsh, even when I used the cleanser twice a day.
How to Improve Neutrogena Advanced Solutions, Complete Acne-Therapy System
One way Neutrogena can improve this product is to sell each product individually as well as in a set. Consumers will use up the different products at different rates. For example, cleansing your face twice a day with the Skin Polishing Acne Cleanser will cause you to run out of that acne product before the other two products.
Although the Skin Polishing Acne Cleanser is the biggest of the three skin care products, you will also need more of it. After using it for a while, some consumers may find that they can use it once a day for the same results. I found that in the heat, it worked better when it was used twice a day.
What's Missing
What's missing from the Neutrogena Advanced Solutions, Complete Acne-Therapy System is a toner. A toner is essential part of skin care regimen. Because I use Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner, I figured that using it would not cause an adverse skin reaction. I was correct. Adding the toner to the skin cleansing process at night only enhances the effectiveness of this skin care product.
Cost
The Neutrogena Advanced Solutions, Complete Acne-Therapy System retails for about $24.99 at Walmart and other stores. This is a decent price for the three skin care products.
Overall
If Proactiv or another acne product works for you, you may not want to mess with a good thing. If you are looking for a new skin care product to try, I do recommend the eutrogena Advanced Solutions Complete Acne Therapy System because it is easy to find at the local drugstore, it's affordable, and it works.
